have you thought about a chip from MSD,,,, would run closed loop lambda which is better for the engine and your pocket (saves loads in fuel when dring the car on light loads)

 

just been told its a great chip 4 the money has he got a website as only seen his stuff in burtons 4 £300

 

Woodford, Burtons, PJ Motorsport etc all sell Ahmeds chips. It will cost you £300ish where ever you buy it from as it will come with a new Pectel Baby Board. (Which adds cost to just buying a chip on its own)

 

just hope that i could get it from ahmed at a trade price

I said it is free for my cars. I.e once i have done a conversion, as the mapping is going to be included for free.

the way you worded this above did sound like you were "giving" the software away.

If these are your own chips with your own maps then I appologise
for my missunderstanding.

 

Right, so the software is included in the conversion price?
The software is a live map and not a chip then?
Who's software do you put onto the chip?
What would you do with a customers car that already has a Webber conversion and just wants "chipping"?

You wasn't very clear with the comment on the Pectel board and the cost of a blank chip. Not that the comment applies to this topic at all of you're price only applies to cars that you convert!!!

No i am not giving my software to anyone! I have been asked for it many times and refused every time!

I use the software and hardware for my own personal use and do not sell off the shelf chips to anyone! I.e i do not copy others chips and sell them on like many many other people out there!

I have respect for all the other tuners and wouldnot insult them by coping chips etc.

Only explained this above as i dont like the way my name was being used in vain!

 

A little off topic now.

The guy asked where he can buy a Pectel board and chip.

I advised the member that the price for the parts are as above, and to expect to pay around that price and maybe the cost of the software on the chip.

Saying a chip is worth £2.80 was the confusing matter. It makes it sound like every tuner is ripping people off when asking £150 for a £2.80 chip with software.

If you had said a blank EEPROM is worth about £2.80 then that would have been less confusing.
