Default MSN Beta 8.0

Anyone gave it a go yet?

Looks pretty much the same bar being a bit prettier and file sharing.

msn 8 uses a different proxy and only authorised users are allowed to log in.

the proxy for msn traffic needs to be changed to point at the msn 7.5 and below server, thus fooling it into thinking you are using the earlier version.

Its quite easy to get round, I'm popping out soon and will be back on about 6pm.

If people havent found a proxy solution by then, I will host the files needed.

Good luck folks!

I'm sticking with 7.5. It was too much hassle when dloading the 7.0 beta.... Anyway...is it true that msn will eventually become a paid for service? I heard it was going to happen end of last year....obviously bollox then

once you download msn 8 you need to download this as well

http://www.msgshit.com/downloads/524

install that then you need to go into the msn messenger folder in your program files and click on the light blue logo that says "msnlaunch" and you can use msn 8

Its annoying though because everytime you sign in you have to do it via that strange icon in program files, which then loads up this thing to sign you in, yet another icon in the task bar.
