Was gunna buy some today, and thought it was a bit of a gimmick. Anyone used it before and noticed an improvement? Does it damage anything? This was the slick 50 stuff.

Ive never been able to work out how anyone can tell if it works. I used it once and didnt notice anything, but it wont damage anything.

 

i see. Was thinking of buying some to try it out thats all. May have a go then.

 

if you want to get them cleaned properly then remove them and get them done ultrasonicallly. I reckon most the engine treatment stuff is bollocks on a properly maintained engine IMHO

 

The diesel ones definatley work, loads of MOT stations use it. If the car fails the emmission test they add a bottle of it and tell the owner to bring it back in a couple of days. 90% usally pass after this.
So if it works on diesels why not petrol injection.

 

another thing that works to clean injectors and engine is automatic trans fluid it works very well on a full tank 1liter atf.
