Default Starter heat shield

jus put the shield on, clips to oil return pipe, doesnt seem to protect much of the starter, mainly the loom, this sound right??

that shield is designed to take the heat away from the starter from the exhaust manifold
there is another heatshield you can/used to be able to get that clips around the starter

so i need a different 1 to actually cover the starter?

no that one will be fine mate thats what i put on mine and never had any warm starting probs since
