Default Nurburgring 2006 - BASIC costing for 2 people

This is a basic costing for myself and my passanger (Pollocks on here - he has thrown money at me to garantee his place )

Nurburgring 2006 Price Analysis

Hotel - £200 5 nights, 2 Person
Ferry - £270 Return Crossing Hull to Zebrugge - Car + 2 People
Fuel - £130 Huddersfield to Der Nurburgring (Return)

Total for Basic Travel and Accommodation £600 for 2 People
Price Per Person For Above £300

I have to say, that isn't a bad price at all - as it excludes the hidden costs of a hotel in folkstone on both outward and return journeys (thats 90 to 120 there) and it saves another 150 quid in fuel aswell

I must say this now - anyone who is thinking of going and umming and aarrring about it - just DO IT - seriously, i was umming and aaring about it untill Stu told me to get my arse in gear and do it - and i seriously do NOT regret it at all - the BEST weekend of my life - even Las Vegas did not come close to it

I for one can not wait untill April - its going to be fantastic

Just a few pictures to make you drool

the Pictures can be found on my Photobucket account - go here:

http://photobucket.com/albums/y241/G...ll%20Pictures/

so to anyone doubting to go or not - just bloody go - you will NOT regret it

Stu - i missed them on purpose as its a "get you there and back" thing providing you have all the relevant insurence and breakdown cover sorted

Laps of the ring etc etc will come under the spendies and the like

and the hotel will be a floating one from hull this time

and you never ate £40 a day did you

Unsure, but that only £20 each mate, for breakfast, dinner, snacks at fuel stations and all the late night food & drinks at Pinochios!! Surely not excessive?

Well I can't bloody wait matey. Just hope my pal can come. At the end of the day he can make a good contribution and still have some spends with £400.

Hope he doesn't let me down.....

Fair point about the eurocover Stu

now you break down the costs of the food for the day i can see it easily adding upto £40 for 2 people - especially with the prices of snack food over there , Altho Pinnochios was nice and cheep for pizza

But on Forza Motorsport you don't have to worry about getting home if you bin it into a barrier at 150mph

Not sure yet Kim. Got the hotel booked for the extra night but still may go by Ferry. Absolutely no idea yet.

As said before Stu cleaned up the posts, my mate has just told me he might not be able to afford £400 after I told him he could come with me on that. I dunno how the fook he was ever expecting to come if he can't get together £400

Now the lad's getting married this year which is fair enough, he has to save up. But I'd rather he'd just said from the off that he can't afford it

I may now end up needing a passenger of my own but most of the people I know off here are already going.

Waiting for a final answer from him now.

Kimmy, i have booked and 100% paid for the Tunnel, as i told you before, nothing has changed It was only THEN that everyone else decided to go by boat... maybe they are trying to tell us something

It was just mentioned that maybe we should all go by boat instead? Ive heard nothing about it ever since, but hey, my tickets are paid for, job done. you know me.

Kim i am going on the tunnell with chip etc. I am travelling from doncaster with 1 other car. So if you want to travel down with us it is not a problem. It is a very straight forward journey and only took me 3 and a half hours on my last trip on the tunnell.

Ferries good but not as fun if you do it twice a year.

I haven't made up my mind yet. I may well join John at Donny and drive down to the tunnel. I've never been before and if I go in September I can take the ferry then.

We shall see........

Best part is that I'm going there to learn the ring in my Fiat, and hopefully returnin in September with a Beemer

The ferry is a laugh but i dont half make myself ill on it. Eat as much as you want normally means 3 huge plate fulls of roast beed, including starter and puddings. Then drink myself stupid and hope you dont get breath tested on the other side as they seem to like doing as you roll off the ferry.
