mine is around 15 - 20psi at idle and goes right up when booting it.

is it a mechanicle or electricle gauge, if electricle did you fit the apropriate pressure switch?

Yeah that was after i'd taken it for a run and got it nice and hot!! Was sittin at just below 2bar (20-25p.s.i) minimum, and like u say went right up when canin it. Tis an electrical one so yeah i bought the sender unit/adapter and wired it all up correctly. Was hopin it was ok as it's a fresh engine with a new oil pump, just wasn't sure what it should be! Cheers mate

Same here - 2 bar sounds far too high for hot idle - most electrical gauges are bobbins.

That's roughly what mine is like. It will vary depending on the type of oil you use

I use mobil-1 fully synthetic, 15w50 so the oil will be quite thin i'd imagine. Lowest line on the gauge is 2 bar so sittin just below that could be nearer a bar i spose. And i went for an electrical one cos i didn't want an oil line inside the car (me mate had one come off inside the car and covered everythin in oil)!!!!

Haynes manual states minimum oil pressure should be 1.0 BAR (14.5PSi) at 750RPM, 2.8 BAR (40.6PSi) at 2000RPM and the oil pressure warning light activates at 0.3 - 0.5 BAR (4.3 - 7.2PSi).
