Default Fiesta mk3 XR2I

I'm buying an xr2i on a J plate the 1.8 16v model next week!!

Was wondering if anyone could tell me what engine it is!! CVH EFI and so on

Does anyone know what BHP they run and topspeeds and all that info

Xr2i came in two engine's 1.6 8v cvh or 1.8 16v zetec. Zetec new and cvh older

It's a zetec and it puts out 105bhp. They do about 115mph.

where as the 1.6 cvh puts out 108 bhp and goes about 119,

4 some reason.

Ford started doing the 16v 1.8's on a late j plate but most j plate will be 1.6 8v all k's will be 16v 1.8 and the same with L reg's will 16v 1.8

I used to have a 1.8 16v XR2i, it did 135mph and that was flat out on a bog standard engine

speedo's are nots as accurate as you think, clock will show 135 ( and that is poss as ive had my rs to that) but charces are your doing about 125-ish

yeah will be zetec 16v, drop the cams out and fit some mondeo 2.0 ones and all the other littler bits and ya see 130bhp ish mate, all can be got s/h

My mate was in his Sierra and his was showing the same speed. Surely they can't all be out?

All speedo's over read by at least 10%. Lop 13.5mph off the indicated speed (120mph ish)and you'll be closer to your real speed.

I took the wifes 2i up Brunters three times showing an indicated 130+mph but Performance Fords expensive timing kit said I topped out at 119mph.

Genuine speed and real speed are two completely different things

About 8.9. Ive had a mate who put a GPRS on his 05 plate car with no mile on and his speedo was out some time's by 6 mph

very true, and a very easy thing to do if you can get a good lump

What engines are easy to slot into J plate 2i (cvh)???

Im wanting a quicker car but really dont want to sell mine!! i love the look! just want abit more poke!!

Any help would be appreciated and any sites in which would help me! thanks

turbo engine (cvh) zetects really.

ive seen cossie engines in there but its a lot of work
