Default Problem freezing plug

Hi All,

Question there is a sort of freezing plug in the front of my FRST block and it sprung out twice, so my cooling fluid is drowning out of my block whitin 10 sec. And it happened twice at the exact same moment. I was driving in 3th gear for over a couple of minutes(3500 rpm) then switching to the 4th gear and putting the pedal on the floor and then the plug sprung out.

Does anybody knows this problem?

Sounds like ya block has popped a Core plug, could have happened due to water freezing cos of lack of anti-freeze. Check ya coolant mix.

That's the problem i don't understand because i don't use anti freeze only coolant, so it wasn't frozen.

In the Netherlands is Antifreeze and coolant not the same. Antifreeze is the one you have to mix yourself whit water. But I use only pure cooling fluid. Or maybe I have translated the word wrong

Try fitting a new core plug, an old one is not likely to stay in.

The coolant i use protecs till -26 degrees. And its cold here in the netherlands but only 0 degrees till -4 max. So it wasn't frozen.
And when the first one went out i''ve fitted a brand new one. Could be there something else that cousses to much pressure on the cooling system?

Cheers

Failing headgasket can cause the cooing system to pressurise but I've never seen a core plug popped out as a result of this

Takes a fair old pressure to pop a core plug

Unless his block is corroded and the core plug isnt fitting as tight as it should be?
