Default this abs removin malarky

im not keen on just takin the abs out and just connecting to the T pieces on the inner wings but in theory it would be fine to take the bias whatsits from a non abs car (i have em off a 2i) and fit these inline to the wheel cylinders as these down the presure to save the rear lockin up yeah? (they shud seperate easy from each other in the casing that holds them to the body of the car)

agree with my theory?, this way i can make up the pipes easy and then just put the whatsits inline under the car and all will be well?

i have considered takin my modulators off ans keeping the laden valves at the rear, but seeing as the master cylinder is different and NON ABS cars have a reducing valve on the bulkhead, i have decided not to, by the way what have other people on here done when they have removed the ABS

You should have one or the other, the reducing valves in the engine bay, or the laden valves on the rear beam, not both. These two just work on different basis. The laden valves reduce pressure when the rear wishbones move downward. The XR3i/S1 type valves on the other hand react on decceleration and they can be tuned by varying their angle. On top of all this, the rear drum cylinders are available in various different bores to find the ideal low and high grip brake balance.

did you change the master cylinder though twins? The non ABS has four pipe connections and the ABS has two. I have bought two new laden valves so thyere going back on the car. Also got a brand new master cylinder toobut if i can get away with not fitting those bloody ABS modulators i will. For new modulators ive been quoted around a grand!!!!

Wouldnt it be better to take the T-pieces out, and have one outlet from the sylinder to each wheel? In my head that sounds safer, but I'm not sure tho lol

Also, anyone know if fitting a servo and/or sylinder from a MK 5 escort will inprove the pedal feel, and is it a strait swap?

Thanks
