Ive driven a few.

A 330bhp RWD cossie will easily pull away in a straight line (reason enough not to get one IMO).

Not exactly somthing you can throw round on the road and IMO looks like an 80s POS

Lots of the R&D was done by a racing driver named SENNA maybe youve heard of him??
And as such is one of the best handling cars of all time.......

i understand it may not be to everyones taste but a 80s piece of shit. To be fair the reason i want 1 is cause my series 1 is taking longer than i thought and i need some power back. IMO i think they look awsome proper 1 for the bitches and a hell of a lot more reliable than a boosted up cossie. I just wanted facts realy like the engines are reliable but ???????? if u know whati mean

IMA/Lancia bloke---

How many have you 2 drove? Yes? Is that NONE? Thought so.

Ive driven 3, 2 manuals and a Oz import Auto (all driven hard too, only on the road), all a bit shite IMHO (even a S2000 is far more fun) and look ghey (tho brand new ones with new lights n kit look good, as do modded ones).

I dont give a monkeys if Senna helped with the R+D, they not fast in a straight line, far to big to have any fun in the corners on anything but open speeping A-Roads, and tho no doubt decent on the track, im sure a mildly tricked up EVO will piss one on most UK tracks.

IMO if you need a car to pull the hos you doing somthing seriously wrong anyhow.

Not cheap compared to rivals, as its only a heavy and not mega power Honda.

Dead reliable tho.

IMO its one of those cars to buy if you got some kind of unnatural love for them, rather than buying them for their capabilitys or the driving experience.

PMSL@someone with no experience of a car giving advice (as usual), and to make it even funnier, making out like im wrong. By what, guesswork and things u read and get told

Im sure lots of people whos driven them, love em.
And if they came on and said how much they love em, thats fine, i wouldnt say they wrong, its jus opinions.
But you never have How can you have an opinion on somthing, and make out like im wrong, when closest youve ever got is on a playstation?

A bit like us with Ford then eh?

My old mans had a few NSX's, we're both motor traders but he specialises in Hondas and Toyotas. The NSX's handle literally like an early 90's F1 car [thanks to senna], they do go well, especially the later ones.

I don't know how ANYONE that drives an older Ford can slate the styling of another car. I love my RS but it's not exactly pretty.

They are fooking reliable, BUT if/when it does go wrong, it ain't gonna be cheap as they weren't mass produced.... [the NSX I mean, the RS go's wrong daily and costs nearly £2 to fix ]

You'll beat alot, the 3.2 v-tec redlines at 13000 if memory serves, so whilst Mr "Scoobypoo" and "Ooh, I've got a 3dr cossy but don't splash dirt on it" are scrabbling to find 3rd then 4th on their nasty old gearboxes, you'll be easing it into 2nd gear and seeing them dissappear in your tiny rear view mirror...

I on the other hand, will be in the layby, crying over my melted engine bay.

Paddy- Nah, bought the cossie as it was the best performance per pound there was. I buy with my head.

Alps- I said, a 330bhp 2wd saff will happily pull away in a straight line from a rolling start, they around 1300kg (slightly heavier than a 2wd cossie) and only 280bhp...

There good for 170mph, and are hardly going to be humbled by a cos around the corners.

i like your style paddy i think this is going to cause ww3 on a ford site but the truth and facts are that old rs's are for the enthusiasts who love there 350 horse power 3 doors no matter how many times they go pop and so they should. I am in the middle of a full restoration of a series 1 i dont want to buy a cossie and have another project on my drive and still cant get to work, thats y i am thinking nsx or possibly a twin turbo manual supra

WTF u on about? As usual

They PISS to handle on the road, thats the point! BORING! They not a car you can fuck about with chucking about like a nutter and oversteering all over the shop, they just grip, and grip, and then you fall asleep

It might corner very fast, but that doesnt make it fun, in the same reasoning for "the 4wd is for gays" argument

My cossie weighed a good 200kg less, a good 100bhp more, and had about half the fookin tyre footprint, its got nothing to do with "cant handle the car" you goon, its about FUN.

Alps-- Id get a supra IMHO if u thinking about one too. Std supercars are WELL overrated.

If your GTR just grips n grips n grips then it shows how wildly underpowered or how pussily you drive it then! The amount of people who jump into only 400bhp GTRs and end up sideways into a lamppost in a week is pretty fookin high...

you have just proven yourself to be a shite driver steve I'm afraid, couldnt get one sidways

dont listen to a word steve says anyway, got a few vids of a standard one beating a 355 and an M3............I also have a video of an NSX-R racing on the track with a murcialago, F50, two fast porches and I forget what else, it comes 3rd, bearing in mind the majority of those supercars have DOUBLE the power.......o and it looks easily the most fun out of ALL of them

to say I like these cars would be an understatement , they look awesome, they are rare, they go well. GET ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then come and take me out in it

I didnt realise NSXs could outcorner everything on the road with ease, i do apologise

(tho isnt cornering at high 3 figure speeds on the road incredibly dangerous to other roadusers as its impossible to see whats coming at that cornering pace? )

Id not get a Cossie either!

R32GTR, TwinTurbo Supra, EVO5, or RX7.

Like the NSX, none of em THAT special as std, but unlike the NSX, mild mods make all of them a lot of fun and very fast.

why is it everytime someone gives someone decent advice, people just try to shoot them down?? if the guy has driven 3 fookin NSX's, i'm sure he knows what he is talking about Having never have driven one, they always seem like a bit of a poor mans 355, just my opinion- If you want some real fun go and buy an old landrover and go off road, my brother has just bought a £800 A reg short wheel base one, its funny as fuck the mad things it will drive over
