Default My Series 2

well its nearly finished now but thought i'd put it up any way

started out last august when i bought it with just a scorpion exhaust and a crusty k & n. full efi transplant.

had enough of the clear rear lights after a few months, so got hold of the smoked rear lenses

when i was fittin em, i decided the bay was dirty, so take the engine out over winter, clean the bay and refit the engine.

then as usual, i started seein bits that i wanted and the car then realised it was destined for the garage for a while

to cut a long story short, this is the new spec and so far looks like this

TECH:
FRST OFAC management
FRST lightened and balanced bottom end (1.6)
FRST 'Vulcan engineering' maxi flow stage 3 head
Oversized valves
3 way cut valve seats
Kent CVH35 camshaft
XR2i high flow inlet manifold
Beige 701 injectors
Hybrid stage 2 T3 turbo
Mongoose straight through exhaust system
3 bar map sensor
Collins 195 chip
Rear disc conversion
2WD Cossie front brakes (callipers and discs)
In car adjustable boost
Revotec boost gauge
16" escort cossie standard wheels
Koni adjustable suspension all round
Bosch performance leads
-31 actuator
Samco boost hoses
Samco water hoses
Samco ancillarie hoses

BODYWORK:

88 spec cut out front bumper (for performance reasons)
BB bonnet
bonnet pins
bonnet raisers
rear wiper removed and smoothed
boot lock removed and smoother
90 spec rear spoiler

There's more on there but i'll remember when i look

few more bits to be done, cage and seats to be fitted, sump gasket to be changed, o/s sill weded (n/s just been replaced), new wiring for fan then its time for the rr

keep ya posted in the next couple of weeks

Few new pics, no news on progress except the brake lines are going to be renewed, the ones for the rear discs are going to be run through the car and passing through a brake bias valve to even it out so the arse doesn't end up chasing the front when i hit the anchors!!

A few pics of the newly sprayed cage

excuse my garage, its a bit of a shite hole while the cars on holiday.
