revs all over the place

started me car up jus now, rev counter is up n down all over the place???? any ideas?

As tony said, if not then check for any leaks in boost hoses or vacume hoses. doubt it tho. especially check vacume hose to ECU. also dump valve could be a prob.

idle itself doesnt go up n down, jus the needle rev counter itself

Conections on the rev counter itself i had a set in my old xr3i that done the same everytime i whent over a bump the rev counter whent up and down put a new set of clocks in and it was fine
