IMO, the 4x4 fronts brakes are better

No machining and they fit straight on iirc

imo the 4x4 front brakes are no better than the rsturbo brakes with bigger discs, there no comparison for more pistons,4pots is better than 1 pot, prob the car youve drove with them they have been fucked

as jambo says 4x4s + 2wd discs are okay, but you actually get more surface area with std calipers and 2wd discs.

st170 is a brilliant setup but need at least 16s......

if you're on a budget then just get a pair of rainbird brackets and stick some 280mm cossie discs on

Ive fitted a full cossie 2wd set up to mine, and theyre not all that IMO. The master cylinder isnt up to the job, needs to be larger otherwise theres a noticeable difference in pedal travel (although without the rear discs it will be fine), although i havent really properly run them in or had a good drive in it yet as i need to MOT it.

Some of the comments above are feasable, lots of people have the ST170's, and the standard calipers with cossie pads make sense surface area is what its all about!

Ok, same as mine, u dont need any brackets of any form. Are you using standard 2wd discs?
