Default 90 mph top speed ??????? please help

Hello i went for a top speed run yesterday and my car got to 90 and then just didnt seem to wanna go any faster and felt like it was holding back on boost , I have only recently brought the car and want to know if my engine is specced up correctly please see below ->

1.6 s2 mfi turbo ( all internals standard )
power engineering chip
mongoose exhaust
normad dump valve
everythink else is standard ,
i have never had this car rolling roaded either

Please can someone advise me on my next steps , can this be down to the actuator ????

Cheers Ads.

Actuator? Without knowing what boost it's running it's difficult to tell. Check the boost and see what it's running first...

bin the chump valve for kick off

now, the problem. .

could be a few things, i'd immagine a boost hose is colapsing under load if the car runs fine otherwise.

Daz, if it ran 0psi boost, it would still go past 90mph suerly?

Maybe, maybe not. But as he suspects it may be a boost problem, it could be beneficial to check it is at least rnning standard boost.

Could be timing also, this would make it very slow on boost...

its prob aswell that you didn't go any faster as you'd prob kill yourself at this time of year with the roads being so frosty and if you didn't kill yourself you would have definately killed the engine, doing a top speed run on a rst is risky even with a perfectly set up engine but doin it with one thats hasn't been rollin road tuned is risky, very risky
anyway my advice get it set up and attempt your top speed either at a better time of year or even better at a airfield or something
