well, after the other weeks fukk up by ford costing me £100 when i would have cost £20...

needs new brakes, £180 ish, gonna be done this weekend hopefully

last night i started to fit new lower arms to me mk6 escort as they were fukked....

was going ok till the steering tie rod nut got stuck and i couldnt do up or undo the fukka, also, i had to batter the fukk out of the balljoin bolt to get it out...

fitted new poly bushes to the ARB aswell.

gearbox mount was fukked, got a new one from ford today and ball joint bolt.

got it all done at 10.30pm tonight

drove it up the road and back, about 1 mile, then turned onto drive

FUKKIN BANG

car drops down... i get out, driver side wheel is hangin out with car resting on it,

id only forgot to put the new balljoint bolt in

stupid c*nt....

so i then jacked it up and got the wheel off

summut was bent as it would flick to one side or the other, i thought it was the strut so i started to take it off, 11pm by now started to beat hub with big hammer...

neighbour shouts OI, i shout what, hes says some people are trying to get some sleep so they can get up for work, i shout back and some people are trying to fix their cars so they can fukkin drive to work!

anyhow, got strut off, seems ok, driveshaft looks ok, then i notice ARB, its fookin bent!

bolox.

so i nail it all back together except drop link, that is tied to the car for now


not gonna go to work cos

A. i cant get there
B. i fukkin hate it
C. i cant be arsed

gonna go to scrappie and get another ARB and sort out.

oh, i came in at 1.30 am

and all the time i was out, it was fookin raining

gutted mate! i always say tho, it could be worse!!!!
i rebuilt my xr over a year (ok just the top end but i was being lazy and slow) got it on the road friday, diff fucked up saturday night 200 miles from home the car was gonna skint me before i bought a new box and tyres but fuck it you only live once eh!

was a right fukka i tell thee!

also, i noticed that where it came away from the balljoint, the balljoint has made a hole in the CV gaitor

fukk sake, will it ever end????

so, now all it needs is

tracking done tomoz

new tyres, they can wait till after ford fair as im going on track

and a new cv gaitor

and thats it, only £600 worth of shit in the last month

 

funny how theres allways 1 tosser neighbour who has a problem with it and the rest just think emselves lucky they got double glazing hahaha
