Default My RWD cossied mk3 escort..

Should really get started on building this but heres a few pics for now

Bought as a shell but came with a full vanload of parts as well. Did have the 1700t kit when I bought it but was sold a few weeks later as its not very practical for trackdays

How it looks just now -

How it was when I got it -

My saff that I stripped the running gear out of -

Thats all for now really, bought some bits for it but not had a chance to start doing anything yet

Cheers guys, I sold the saff as a rolling shell to my mate Lee (jonsmiff on here) He got a nice little bargain

All my running gear is stage 3 already just got to get a T34 for it before it goes back in, and freshen up the bottom end.

17t kit does look good but would end up smashed to bits afet a few trackdays belongs to Alexx now anyway

Considering putting the Gartac arches and skirts from the 4wd car onto this one, what ya reckon ?

They are genuine alloy items

Lee I'll need to get my finger out to catch up with you mate

Dave , i do like the wide gartrac arches , then sort of went off them , but if i had the chance again id deffo use them , it makes everything sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier when it comes to wheels and tyres as you will have more than enough room to play with ,

My other RWD Mk3 looks like a genuine S1 but its all to tight for comfort , wheels have been shaved , arches altered , kit cut and i still dont know if its all gonna work , and thats on 15's

Do it

Lee how bad was it mate as I was planning on using one of my S1 kits on the car with 15's
Cant mind what yours is like but the front of mine is mk2 escort stuff with GP4 hubs, rear is STD sierra width

Only thing I dont like about fitting the gartrac ones is that I would need to cut the rear quarters up and I dont really want to do that

Chiz the black car just need minor bits done and thats it finished so will get a laugh wi you on track soon mate

Dave , if u want to run 15's then you should be ok Maybe a trim of the rear arch or get them rolled . , and just be sure of wheel offset ,

The fronts will need spacers ( obviously ) if your running a wheel designed for FWD cars , These are available ,

you had me worried for a bit mate.

Aint even thought about wheels yet TBH but got enough cossie lattice lying around and a set of capri brooklands so will probably stick them on Did think about using the 17x9" OZ mag ones I have but thats never gonna work

Not a big fan of those arches on the Q plate to be honest mate but would leave you with plenty space. Would be a shame to chop up the rear arches on your RWD shell though...
