Am i right in thinking that the different exhasut manifolds that came as std are good for different peformance levels? How many typers were there, and what power are they normally rated at?

Regular, you have 2WD (good for higher power at expense of response) & 4WD (good for at least 450bhp and sharper response) comparitively.

Then you have WRC which used different turbo etc., and custom manifolds.

 

...its cool as the 4x4 had a manifold exhaust and inlet rated to around 450bhp

...the 2wd had a 650bhp exhaust manifold but only a 430 rated inlet...LOL.
