sounds like a bomb mate if there no oil in its ready to blow, hope u got deep pockets it happend with mine and i had to replace turbo and engine

But as always when its done its great!!! may aswel get a 2.0l zetec bottom end from the scrappers cheap as chips not that hard to fix. and they are much stronger engines. if ya going for power change the pistons and you'l have a beast lol

hope you really love the car theres lots of work ahead!

first things first check the basics, like is the oil/collant creamy?

And do a compression test. That will start to narrow it down a lot!

Better get earning some cash though not guna be a cheap one

Could be both

Do a compression test its the only way short of taking the head off.

Thing is just cos the turbo is cracked and the oil/collant is mixing wouldnt necessarily make it smoke.

I expect the oil has been ruined and has been like it for some time and possibly the rings have gone, or it may have caused overheating and made the headgasket go.

Compression test.......get on it

Oh ok

well definately the turbo needs changing, and give it an oil change new filter etc, and change the coolant.

Have to go from there really, if compression test is all good cant be a lot wrong with the engine....

ummmmm, tar and glue remover to clean the hoses, and u can split the metering head in half, and use like brake cleaner or similar, intercooler is always a bitch but u could just spray a bit of brake cleaner down that too, u always get a trace of oil in them so dont worry about the intercooler too much

the same sad old story with a second hand performance car

U usually do spend a while picking up the peices from the previous owner but u can then rest assured youve done the job properly. U cant damage anything, if u dont want to split the metering head just spray brake cleaner in the hose inlet and get a rag in there, thats the lowest point so there shouldnt be anymore oil in it, and tar and glue remover is the dogs for cleaning samco.

Hang in there mate you know its worth it Vrrrrrrmmmmmmmm Tiiiiiiisssssshhhhhhh
