A mate of mine has a M-reg MK2 uno tubo. I'm tempted with swapping my escort 1.8 si for it in a PX deal (my car on a r plate plus a few hundred quid.)

The car is running a claimed 162bhp heres a spec list:

* Gas Flowed and Ported head with 3 angled valve seats
* Piper fast road camshaft
* Samco silcone hoses (turbo and boost)
* Sard R2D2 blow off valve (very loud dump valve)
* Black diamond uprated clutch
* Scorpion 4" exhaust
* RamAIR cosworth air filter
* Punto GT T25 turbo
* Spesso Group A head gasket
* FSE power boost valve (fuel pressure regulator)
* 15" OZ polaris alloys (in very good condition)
* Lowered -40mm on Gmax shocks and springs
* Braided goodridge brake lines
* Boost guage
* In car boost valve

Has anyone ever had one? What are they like? Also does anyone know any forums or other sources of info?

Any help would be appreciated!

a mk 1 1.3 turbo, fella who owned it before me had it tuned by avanti to 177bhp

use to be a awesome little car, handled really well too


only got rid because the previous owner forgot to put any antifreeze in so it was rotting from inside out

This one is a mk2 1.4.

He's a bit of a buff when it comes to his car so its pretty well looked after.

Hopefully might be going to see it at some point this week so I'll take it out for a spin.

 

Well it's turbo'd which is always good and your car is let's face it a bit shite so I'd take his hand off

Its mainly gonna be used just for bombing backwards and forwards to work in!

power engineering are good on these i know ehat people are thinking.
they setup my mates from 153 to 182bhp and still a 1300 same spec as yours but a 5th injector thing is rrraaapppiiidddd done 13.3 at USC last year

no probs best bet go on turbo collective thers lots off people that can help you out ther but be cearfull of bull shite that they feed people or ther bhp claims i hade my one @300bhp very well know in the uno turbo world oh stay away from avanti motorsport good luck

Lovely little car that! Needs a few jobs doing though (its funny how they go from totally sound to "well it needs this doing that doing" etc ) but yeah had great fun!

Needs the part ex cash to buy some studio equipment (probably means christmas presents for some bird! ).
