12.7sec 1/4mile
Stage 3 chip, greens, piper x filter, mongoose, etc, std 4x4 cooler and T3, and lots of revs on launch.
Wouldn't do that now as the engine is rather fooked i think.

12.01@at 117mph greys, own inlet,own intercooler, 22psi boost T34 .63hsg, non standard engine.

2wd saph.

now for the annoying bit, 12.32@108mph on a worn out oil burner standard cossie engine with greens, 3 bar, 24psi on standard 82000mile T3. but the 1.61sec 60ft helped.

what strips you guys using?

cant get my saff under 13.7 at york dragway (REALLY REALLY bad strip)
lightened/balanced/shot peened bottom end with 8.8:1 CR
light port head/either standard or BD10 cams (cant remember what i had lying about!)
greys
t35 .48 only 17psi! with antislag though

with the T4 my first ever run when perf ford featured the car @ york dragway i got an 18sec pass
wheelspin in 4th gear

just goes to show how bad the strip is i guess.

cant wait to try my new engine/turbo setup at york and then ultimatley at the pod

regards Sean.

p.s fastest 2wd cossie i saw at york was a flint 2wd saff manadging to get 12.7!!!!!!!!!!!!
greens, T34, 500 cooler.
would have won the ford shootout if it wasnt for a bit of dodgy timing opperators..............

3dr cosworth, greens T34 .48 , RS500 i/c, L8 pectel bb, verniers, 20 psi boost, standard comp, Paul hills map.

Only been to the pod once on this spec engine.

13.4 @ 107mph, i'm sure i could better it, can't understand why my terminals are low for the spec, would like to see around 110-112mph,any ideas ?

Simon.

Unless you shut your eyes every time martin runs i would say its a foregone conclusion given that he was only .7 seconds away before, and the gearbox must be worth half a second!

Is that on road legal tyres?

Any details of the engine you feel like giving away (like what turbo etc), or is it all "top secret" as per usual in the world of fords

10.88 off gas on road legals and still a 2.0 YB is one of the most impressive things ive ever heard!

Especially given what you said about the spec of the engine.

Just goes to show how perfectly setup it is and how good at launching it you must be!

That really is fucking amazing

Impressive thing with Kev is that He still hasnot ran a full drag radial, he's on a fast road tyre, When they were out kev give me a call, I can do very good deals on Avon Track day tyres now like the ZZR
or of course a propper drag radial

I think there will be at least 3 9second 4x4 cossie's this year, maybe even the odd 2wd.

Craig,

14.462 in my gay 4x4 which is stage 1.

I wasn't trying too hard though, I wanted to get the car back home in one piece, it should be possible to run it quicker with less mechanical sympathy.

(and it had a bootfull of ice / clothes, etc...).

1.7 is good but yeah nothing specatular, i am frankly at a total loss as to how you are managing those times then, unless its at crail which ive heard is downhill

Seriously though, Have you ever run at the pod?

crail aint downhill

never run at the pod....had redlines datron on it once at brunters did 10.8 @135 on my second attempt with alittle gas prob running about a 50 shot that day but it started raining before i could try anymore and i had a bad topend misfire anyways to run the 10.3,s and 10.4s i recon i had around 650bhp which is about right with the 140mph+ terminals

heres a timing slip for anyone interested

Wahoo, a successful bit of fishing with the crail comment, i caught a live one

Thats a fucking impressive slip mate, just goes to show what a REAL 600bhp car actually does, rather than the BS 600bhp that most people claim to have!
