Default Fuel metering unit

been told by a mechanic i need a new one and its probly why my car runns so lumpy and uneven anyhelp or advice lads can these be cleaned / serviced ????

second hand or new ???

ok bit strange just had my car running in my drive left it for 5 mins to see how it got on (first time since ive got her back ) and its overheated

all the work ive had done was sweet just dunno whats doing it now?
anyideas i just cant work it out all new gaskets the lot ??

youve proberbly got an air lock in the water system, take the header tank cap of and leave it running.

yeah mate lol gaskets sweet tho

any ideas????

im taking ur advice 32a_tuning what we said the other day.

just got it running again left it for 10mins with the cap off started smoking from header tank bottle then when i turned it off went nuts and spitted most of all the water out !!


strange as i have no ideas left ?

you left the cap of a little bit to long lol. just fill it up (with hot water other 3wise you mite crack some thing (done my header tank this way )

leave it running till the temperature gauge is moving, water should be coming fluently out of the swirl mpot pipe.then put the cap back on.

failing this, your losing water compresion (the cap raises the pressure on the water system to 18 psi to raise the boiling point) the could be a split core plud or at the worse a split or cracked head.
is the fan comming on,
and did you replace that thermostat?

not too bad mate, having a little less stress with my car than u by the sounds of it

Whats the vacuum gauge doing when its lumpy, and also whats it reading?

Your cooling problem, daft question, have you tested the fan switch
