Default Bank holiday monday (boxing day) passionford meet at Weston

Doug suggested last night that we move the meet to monday instead next week, what with it being xmas day etc, so just thought i would mention it here in plenty of time.

Father xmas is bringing me a GT35R turbo hopefully that day, so im going to be there to collect that.

Being in the holidays is a good excuse for people to come along who havent been for a while i reckon, so hope to see some of you who havent been for a while

Pizza hut at 8pm for kick off, then the usual talking bollocks and random bouts of racing up and down the local (private and perfectly legal) roads till it gets too cold to stand around in a car park like a bunch of tossers and we all give up and go home

Whilst I'd have no problems munching through a 16" pizza, as it's gonna be my last pizza for at least two months I'd rather enjoy than shovel it down my throat! (makes a change I know )

Might not be able to make it though, I'm at my mums up in Worcester on Boxing day, I'm trying to find out what sort of time I'm gonna be able to escape

Fair enough mate, slow and steady it is then, assuming you are able to make it down.

My b*****d Cabby. Otherwise known as the Ford Trashbag.

And In 12 - 18 months' I reckon I will own a Cossie

Wouldn't actually mind a "rep" like yours mate as I'm starting to lean towards 3 doors more than Saffs.

Never seem to see any old 3 door non cossie Sierras for sale anywhere tho....

Its cheaper to buy a real one than build a rep if you start getting into the realms of painting it etc.
A 3 door is worth more in parts than whole, so if you have EVERYTHING on it as original bits like mine, its very dear to do.

Mine owes me upwards of 10 grand, for which i could have bought one that says coswroth on the logbook and had lots of change

Best route into cossie ownership (for you) IMHO is a good condition, Stage 3 RWD Saph with leather.

Aye that maybe a good bet mate. Knowing my money situation though I will probably get me a Ł2k Saff thinking "I know what Saffs are like, but I'm sure mine will be ok, even if it is a bit cheap" then post up on here crying about how I hate the car and that this has stopped working, and that's knackered etc etc

5K is the sort of money i would try and find if you can, but keep as much back again for the first year of ownership if you are going to drive it hard!

I don't seem to be able to not drive hard. Every downchange is really felt in my car and I still can't figure out why I can't do it more smoothly

I know, I know.. I'd like to have come too. Brands Snatch sounds really good, but I have to draw the line when it comes to money at some point, also I prommised the old man I'd spend the day shooting with him too.

Its not very hard to change, its just getting to it and supporting the engine so it dont twist when you take the mount off while its jacked up

Oh and getting one of me mates to help in this weather is mission impossible!

Rear gearbox mount shouldn't take too long at all to change... Make sure you've some stands and a trolly jack and you should be fine
