its coz you'll drive it like a girl...
they're not insuring you coz it could go to a good home instead where someone will drive it like its meant to be driven
:P
if you do get one, you'd better not put ANY stickers on it!!!

Even though you have no claims your still a young driver trying to insure a group 20 car. Once you hit 25yr old with a clean record and no claims against you it will come down. They still want around four to six hundred quid for my dad to insure an escort cosworth and he has 37 years driving experience and zero claims against him in this time. Been with current insurer for over 10 years. So dont expect to get it much lower than you have been quoted.

Ł1257.75 for a 22yr old on a cossie sounds not to bad to be honest M8.
Not so sure about the Ł600 excess though

That IS a cheap quote IMO, the excess is just summat you have to live with if you want to drive a Grp 20 car ( although Greenlight have dropped the groupings for the saff i believe,so it may only be an 18 now
)

the groupings only go to 20 don't they, and i think there's a 20+ for 'extreme' cars ( supercars i guess )

I know my car is not the same, XR4i fitted with full cossie turbo lump and running gear and about 350ish BHP all mods declared and i pay Ł412.75 fully comp and a agreed value of Ł7000 on a classic policy for 4000 miles.
I am 35 now
Steve.
