Default I had a slight incident today lol

Coming down a local dual carriageway i had this saxo vts stuck to me back bumper, so i put it in 3rd gear and held it there in the fast lane and waited for him to try and undertake me. As he did i sent it away and pulled away from him untill i had to break for a round about, i then took the roundabout and powered out the otherside in 2nd with loads of wheelspin and a tad of understeer. I then looked in my rear view mirror to see where saxo boy was and i couldnt believe it he was sideways across the road, he then plowed up the kurb down a grass enbankment and into a fence.

I then turned round at the next roundabout but by the time i got back the police were alreadt there.

Fucking saxo drivers eh

Compared to me cossie its boringly slow but as far as most cars on the road go ye it is a little nippy, i have taken down a civic type-r, clio 172, another xe nova, a stage1 small turbo esc cos, a chipped up seat ibiza cupra, a civic vti and last but not least a saxo vts

Sounds like a good wee toy you've got there

Poor sod has only done what I bet most of us has done already and overcooked it big time, hopefully learnt his lesson though

When i first jumped in it i thought it was very slow and didnt know what all the fuss was about, but cause i havent driven the cossie for a while and have had a few races to compare the car against some quick standard and modded motors i now think its quite fast and very fast for what it is

Courtenay sport carried out all the work including the custom courtenay leather retrim, the previouse owner spent an absolute fortune on it and then sold it to me for Ł950, i have had me moneys worth already in 2 weeks

Speedline Alesios - a classic on a Nova but I still think they look great!

I have a lot of respect for the Griffin badged cars with decent engines, much quicker than equivalent bhp Fords much to my annoyance!

I hate Novas and hate those wheels, but it has a good engine and deserves the big arches etc. The wheels are from the same era so it all works just fine for me! Hope the Saxo driver and his gf were ok - muppet though

sweet car mate

reminds me of when I had my XR2 turbo, bloke in a 3i overtook me and got stuck level with me so I let him go as we were coming up to a roundabout, started braking but the 3i didn't, next thing I see is him spinning towards one of the exits

He stopped, looked at me and gave me the nod (as if to say "yes I know I'm a complete twat) started the car up and drove off again

Please please please put a wide trac kit on this mate... It will eat up the bends then, only Ł500 iirc

Have you done anything to the engine? The XE sounds lovely with a set of carbs or TB's

Definately agree, had a set on my Nova GSI and I sent them of to get polished and they looked awesome, only problem being every time I cleaned the car I had to dry the wheels off then autosol the fookers

Aside from the danger factor, well done!
I remember my brother did something similar in his uno turbo racing a renault 5 turbo, where the guy ended up going over the roundabout, that was the end of that.
