Bit Of Advice Needed
My Turbo Lumps Gone Bang In My Mk5 Escort, And My Intentions Are To Rip It Out, Throw It In The Bin, And Source A Standard Engine And Start Again.
Whats My Best Options Regarding Tuning For Good Reliable Power? I'm Not Looking To Break Any Records, I Just Want A Reasonably Quick Motor.
I Intend To Build The Engine Up Myself, As I'm A Toyota Techie, Is There Anything Notoriously Difficult To Do On The CVH Lump, As I;ve Never Turned A Spanner On One Before
Cheers
Steve

Depending on how badly bang your engine has gone you may be better to rebuild what you have. Rebuild to standard spec but add a decent intercooler and exhaust along with a chip and -31 actuator. Get it setup by a reputable tuner and you should have a nice healthy 170bhp to play with.

As For Budget, I Dont Know, I Could Spend Loads And Loads, But Just A Reasonable Amount For A Fairly Standard Reliable Lump Will Be Fine.
