You have to put the files onto the tomtom go,
i have tomtom on my pda so i'm not sure how you connect the go to the pc so just guessing really..
unzip the folder and place the files out of the ov2 and bmp files into the correct directory/folder on the tomtom go?

Don't copy the folder, copy the contents of the folder then to make sure copy the contents into any obvious folders on tomtom go as it won't hurt even if they are in the wrong folder as long as they end up in the right folder lol

User customisable POI databases are arranged in files (with an ov2 extension) these also come with a graphic .bmp file. Both must have the same name to work together.
The databases do not need to be created on the TomTom GO they can be imported from a number of sources, including POCKETGPSWorld.com.
All you need to do to import them is to copy the .ov2 and .bmp into the map directory on the TomTom GO. In the case of the UK this will be "Great Britain Navigator" . It will be different for other countries.
The POI files are compatible with all previous versions of POI files for TomTom Navigator. They are also interchangeable with Navigator for Palm and the recently announced TomTom Mobile.
The main POI maintenance screen is shown to the right. From here you can manage all the features of the POIs.

tried that and there is nothing on the tomtom showing anything to do with cameras
thought it would be just a simple operation of going to the tomtom site downloading something and sending it across to the tomtom

I've done a few T/Tom go camera installs, it should be the same
Once you have the files in the Great Britain directory:
Go to Change preferences;
Maintain POI
(this brings up list of POI);
Select each camera type ( gatso, temp, spec, redlight,etc) ONE AT A TIME.
Enable POI
Tick WARN WHEN NEAR, (you can set distance)
Then choose alert tone. (cow or cukoo is best, you really notice them)
Repeat from camera type for EACH type One at a time.
Make sure Enable POI in ticked on main screen after install.
