Default 1900 american block capable of 300bhp?

has anyone managed to get 300bhp from one of these engines?

i have managed 240bhp in mine and thinking of rebuilding at the end of summer but wonted to no if it is possible to acheive 300bhp .

does anyone no wot parts would be needed and wot companies would i be able to get the parts from.

any info would be grate cheers andy

cliff wot parts are you using to crack the 300bhp mark mate .
i no i will have to get h section rods and different pistons in the block but any other info would be good?

im going for this kinda power minimum 280 when i get the summer out the way. should think it will require a piston change, a t34 and some more head work???

My spec is half way thru at the mo.

Have the 1.9 Specialised engine, cossie management ,greens, T34 with 6 degree cut back blades / Maram shaft / 360 degree thrust bearing, grs rad and intercooler, Level 6 ecu

Going for forged pistons , steel rods, greys, P8 ECU with antilag and possibly a custom exhaust manifold.

Doing this over the winter.

This Spec should see me over 300 bhp as I should be able to run plenty of boost as it's just a toy car and not my main car.
