Fit 16" Mondeo rims as the offset is better and you won't suffer with them catching on the arches

Put them on bolt em up and hack the fuck out of your wheel arches to stop them scrubbing everytime the suspension moves. TBH I just wouldn't bother, why spend so much time fitting something that bollocks's the handling? The offset is miles out for the Escort at ET25, ET35 is about far as I would like to go

they dont catch the struts at all mate they only rub on the arches i fitted them to my S2 and they looked i fitted 195/45/16 tyres too and they didnt rub , you prob need to trim a bit of the rear arches with the 195/45/16 tyres tho, hope this helps mate

THIS IS MY OLD S1. LOOKS COOL AS FOOK THERE. SHAME IT WAS A BIT OF A SHITTER. YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW THAT WAS A MK4 SHELL, OR THE FACT IT WAS PAINTED VAUX GLACIER WHITE.
215/40X16'S FOR ME. NEVER AFFECTED THE HANDLING AT ALL. WAS ON FOOKIN RAILS.

Oh...didn't realise that. Why was it put back onto the old C plate then mate ? I was under the impression that a rebuild should by law go onto the donor shell plate as that shell has different VIN and chassis number from the original S1 shell.

Just wondering as it may not technically bea genuine S1 and therefore shouldn't be on the database..just a question: please don't get all defensive & anti with me.

that was the original id from the smashed/rotten shell. the shell i got had no id with it. it came from roger sports. couldnt get a good mk3 shell, this was the next best thing,

i sold the car about 4 years ago and since then its been to Kelso(scottish borders), newcastle, Bangor(ireland) and now i think its still in ireland but not sure............

it deffo aint the most genuine s1.

I have a red series 2 with the 16" Mondeo rims. Paid a ton for them with tyres however needed a refurb. Paid RSR £250 to refurb and coat white, followed by the purchase of tyres. Come to around £600 all in with new wheel nuts I needed to buy.

Look the tits however Cossie Rims would have looked better.

From a distance and whilst moving you cant tell however close up the curve of the cossie Rim will show, and in my opinion now worth the extra hassle to fit.

However Let my mate drive the car and now have a scuffed rear wheel another £50 going to RSR I think

8J's suit all RS's and actually all hot ford's apart for the Ecoz,

ive seen them on Saff's, 3doors, S1's, S2's, Mk6 rs 2000, mk5 xr3i and even a pug 205 with a cossie lump and they look shit hot,

but as as said above if u gonna go on track or for a bonkers fast engine stick to the proper off set
