My s2 erst has just been written of by my own mother!! any way I have a sound 260+bhp engine sat doing nothing and am thinking of placing it into a mk2 escort, is this an easy converison or is there more hassle than its worth

a CVH engine in a mk2 Escort= NO, 2.1 pinto will sort you out

 

Possible but will be more hassle than enough just put a cossie YB in a stage one will sort you out with 270bhp and be much more reliable.

 

Not that big a deal,they put cvh motors in sierra lx`s dont forget so all the mounts,sump,gearbox,etc etc is all easily available to convert to rwd...

And why the fook shouldn`t it be reliable..???....if it was reliable in an Rst then it`ll be the same in a mk2.....

 

If you want something different and keep the cvh engine, then IMO the engine would be better off in a mk1 fiesta, or maybe an escort combi van?

i have a sump hear for you if u need one , engine mounts are available from retro ford £65 ish , and any old gear box will bilt straight on , the tunnel will need to be slightly modified to take a cossy box and the release bearing fettled , which i will do for you gratis ,


other than that i cant see any real dramas ,
