They are officially Sierra RS Cosworths, as Rod mentions on another thread, but to distinguish between the models, most people call them Sapph' Cosworths.....

as for the bold bit bong..

strange I know.. as id assume most would prefer an Escort Cossie over a Saff cossie all day long... but a mate of mine had a 400+bhp SCS engined rwd Saff cos.. fun all day long.. then he sold it to Ryan... and he then bought himself an Escort Cossie... that 4wd is fun isnt it Just not the same...

saying that Id have anything over this fookin bean tin I never drive anymore

Westy, I wasn't offended in any way, hence the smilies.

Horses for courses, had both and prefer the Escort. I used to absolutely love my bean tin, but it was only 2 years old (so less of a bean tin ) and my first RS

RWD Sapph' was my first Cossie, and also has a place in my heart - 4wd can be just as much fun

the sapphire was written on the black triangular trim at the back of the rear doors on some models - i believe to distinguish the 4 door from the 5 door hatchback
