Hi Guys & Girls and anything in between,

I have spent all day removing all of the old, damp underlay / sound proofing with a blow torch and wallpaper scraper

Now it is as good as it is gonna get so I just wondered what I should paint it with to protect it!

Would hammerite do?

I am planning to paint the floor with something protected and then put a couple of layers of flashing tape down....Then will it be ok to just put the carpet back on top of that?
