Default Suspension....again

I know there are a few threads kicking about in here...I'm thinking of buying a set of second hand Koni's off cossiecrew. What are peoples view's on Koni's? I know Spax are supposed to be quite a harsh ride....I just can't justify coilovers at the moment.

Oh, and can I use any springs with them? I don't want to go lower than 25mm.

I am the opposite having just removed Konis from my series1 and put on a Spax psx kit, will agree its a lot firmer even on the lowest damper setting(1 of 28), but in all fairness the Konis were not in good shape with 2 of the 4 leaking slightly still not bad for 8 year old suspension though. I am doing Donington on Saturday so will let you know how the new stuff performs.

I've seen quite a few Spax for RSTs with rusty rods and bent tubes. Nothing such with Konis.

8 Years, that's fairly good going if you use it on track too! My last suspension kit lasted under a year and about 3K miles

Cheers for the input peeps

Got an old Spax Sport kit on my RST and it's been good for about 5 years now. When the eventually give up the ghost I will probably fitting Koni T/A's as the car is spending more time on track now

Cant fault Konis

Ive got a set of Spax adjustables on my 306 I rate them highly, only issue I have with them is that they arent top adjustable they are adjusted by a screw at the bottom, this is prone to rust and broke withing 12months.

Are spax top adjustable for the S2?

I guess the next consideration is then spring rate and height.

I have Spax top adjustables and Chassis Dynamic Springs....I have then set on softest setting and they are quite crashy over bumps. Not had any problems with them in 4 years though!!
