will a stage 3 xr2 head work on a fiesta rs turbo, or is there any other sensors ect that are no on the xr2 head? bearing in mind the distributor can be swopped for a coil pack, any help will be much appreciated

 

Depends mate on what head you use the xr2 was fitted with 2 types of head. A hemi and a lean burn, the hemi head is used on the early mk2 xr2 and the leanburn on the later model. Most efi heads like the erst heads are hemi's you can tell them apart by the shape of the combustion face. The hemi is round whereas the leanburn is in a heart shape

 

the xr2 head is a hemi, so wud it be compatible? as a replacement

 

Ok just realised that the head won't have the cut outs in the head to accomodate the injectors

 

The XR2 won't have the required cut outs either for the injectors so you would need a plate like the ones Jano sells from Oddkid Creations.

XR2i and FRST heads are the same though if that's of any help
