my cars badly pinking sounds like two metal things bangein hard as fook what can i do it stop this as its doing my head in and ive bin told its very bad too

 

go get it set up ASAP. or you will be having a very expensive repair on your hands.

 

sounds like the ingition timing is out.

Banging doesn't side like pinking.

Pinking is more of a metallic tinkling. Get it looked at asap or things may get expensive.

im running it on superunleaded does that help it tall ?

 

should be harder to make it pink if your running it on super unleaded

Mate sounds like theres summit seriosuly up.

Have you checked the timing, you might cure the revving and pinking problem in one hit with that, so much so it might be driveable to a tuning garage.

 

hi i tried everything on my mates car timing mixture dizzy all to noavail then swapped ecu for mine then it was fixed got another off e bay never pinked since hope this helps maybee try 1 of somone local you can swap with for five mins

trust me, a trip to jamsport or somewhere similar, a setup + check-over, replace dodgy parts, and youll be driving home with a BIG grin

 

check your tps as if this is not working that will make it pink i had that

 

MAP sensor in the ERST ECU can go tits up and casue these symptoms. If Jamsport are local to you then call in there. Good bunch of lads

 

Get it to a tuner asap mate and you will know the score after that

 

well im hopefully getting the timing seen to on thursday and ill have my new cam tappets cambelt oil and filters fitted and then ill try and find a descent local tuner to set it up fingers crossed i dont wanna be lookin for a new engine just before xmas!!!!!

im just driving back and forth to work and not boosting it at all hopefully by not boosting it will do less damage i hope
