Default Mayo from the breather filter???

Was doing my usual check around the car yeasterday and noticed that that brown/white oil mix you get was collecting round the breather hose. So naturally I assumed the worse and took a look in the header tank.

Not a hint of contamination in there. So had a look under the oil filler cap, and not a hint of it there either.

Could it be the head gasket on its way out? but surely if coolant is leaking into the oil wouldn't the oil get into the header tank to?

Anyone got any ideas on what it could be?

Best advise I can offer is to get the fryer on and do some chips to dip in your mayo

Spose we could have had a looksie yesterday after we'd finished playing with the security lights

very common - ur going to get condensation in the air mixing with oil fumes of the breather, especially in this weather.

I had a quick look of the dipstick and there is a little mayo in the actual holder, but the oil looks perfectly normal and that was only a few min after the run back from work

Ginge, I only worry about how short your posts are these days
