it has a docking station which can be used to charge the unit and it connects to the usb port and gets the device in syncronizing with your pc, uses mmc or sd cards aswell

Didn't realise they had a built in starbase aswell

I take it the downloads are compatable software with the sat nav devices. Does it come with software you install on ya pc to do all this?

tom tom really dont mate, ive tried, took me well out of my way when i had to drop off a handle urgent, that was set on quickest, changed it to shortest and still had the same fucking way, i decided to take my own way and hope it took the hint

the cunt just redirected me mback on to the same route

best one ive used soo far is the nissan version that comes with there primera ect, thats gpot a decent sized screen and also seems to be the fastest at redirecting and also dont do last mine " turn left" so you pass it like the tom tom does

the only downside to that is the fucking dont have postcode recogniton

there all cool if your going to a meeting in derby ect but for local routes in hackney you NEED a A to Z

all depends on how its set up aswell.

i.e. speeds per road type and quickness of remapping to route.

I find my tom tom excellent - I use it as a co driver even on roads I know so I can see the bends coming up how far to the next roundabout to jump out on me etc - really good for night driving!!

Personally I love the idea of TrafficMasters SmartNAV product as it will re-direct you if you are heading towards hold ups.

I also like all the additional services you get with SmartNAV where you can ask for nearest Petrol Station, Cash Point aswell as the concierge service where they book hotels etc for you.
