So sad to hear about Richard's death....a true gent and fantastic ambassador to rallying....one of the quickest/smoothest drivers ever....
There has been a void in British Rallying since he collapsed and became ill in 2003.....

A true gent and my little tribute to the the great drivers history...
How it all started

Where he got noticed and how i'll remeber him. In a Peugeot 309.

The beginning of his sucess

History was made

Where is started to go wrong

Ive already payed my respect www.richard-burns.co.uk/memorails

RIP Richard - my thoughts go out to friends and family.
I knew about his brain tumor but I thought he was on the road to recovery - such a huge loss!
Genuinely gutted here!
Andy

Makes it even worse when it's something shit like a brain tumor imo.
At least in cases like Senna, Micheal Parks, Joey Dunlop they died doing something they dedicated their lives to.
Makes it ten times worse to be cut off in your prime by an unrelated illness or accident

Couldn't belive what i was reading when i logged on,
like what many have said i had assumed Richard was making a recovery.
A true gent and ambassader of the sport,
who will be greatly missed
