Pull the bench up, and undo the 2 x screws on each bracket in the rear footwells

I tried that but I thought the seat was bending so stopped!

There are 2 Plastic Caps over the Screws in the Rear Footwells. Take those out while the Seat is in place, then lift it up and out. Easy Peasy.
