how many miles have your cars done? mines on 85000 and im just wondering if you have had any problems with high milage

 

59800 so nope no probs so far gonna do a rebuild next year anyway tho

 

Our FRST has 111,000 miles on the clock and aprt from misbehaving in th eice the other morning it has so far been good as gold. Only stuff done has been the modifications.

 

About 3500 on the new engine in 3 year's

My mk4 fiesta has done 85k and my 1.7 puma lump has done 100k and at the mo is still going strong

The poor engine has had a hard life but is not driven hard from cold for at least 10mins and is always serviced before its ment to be done

 

mines now done 120 000 now had a rebuild at 113 000, one thing to watch out for on high mileage fizzy turbos, is the cam, they are a shit designand the cam lobes on the 4th cylinderwear rapidly, and the engine will only be running on 3 cylinders, so keep an eye out!

 

After 154,000+ miles i have had very few problems. I had the head taken off at 100k with new valves and cam. But im still on the original bottom end and turbo running stage1 .... about 12psi
My only hassles have been alternators.

No idea what Zetec's are like with high mileage though.

 

Mines done 133,000 miles. The car had 94,000 on the clock when i got it and i had no trouble with it up to 120,000 when i swapped the engine 4 something with a bit more grunt.
