Default Any way to mod your lsd or make it stronger? Options

Im goin to rebuild my gearbox now that i have to fit a new clutch and such anyway, so i would very much like to know if there is a way of making the LSD stronger so it dont break when you accelerate(with, unfortunetly a bit of spin). I know that my ERST isnt the strongest around but it has 170bhp and 263nm, but im aming for 200bhp and 300nm or so and then the LSD will fail im told, and i would like to keep the gearbox on and not have to take it out now and then to fit a new(used)LSD just because i want a litle more fun with my funny(very funny indeed)car.

DannyDK - I have the full Quaife straight cut close ratio box, it gets looked after and rebuilt several times a year by either myself, or Bernie at CTS

Never bothered changing the plates in mine, I took one to bits once, that was enough, looks impossible unless your very patient.

Fluid usually gets done once a year, either local or at CTS (gearboxman in UK)

Have you changed the fluid yourself? Where can I buy the fluid? When you diff is sent to CTS, have they ever changed the plates or is it not necessary?

Never found it necessary to be honest.

If you want a different (better) diff choose a different manufacturer.

Do you know how the fluid is held in and whats involved in changing it ?

I'm rebulding my box and want to investigate how to rebuild the diff aswell. A new diff at the cost of 500 pounds is out of the question.

This is the viscous lsd unit.

Some guys I've talked to that have rebuilt their Cosworth lsd unit bought the fluid at Ford. I've also talked to CTS about buying fluid, but since they have spent money on developing the fluid, the wouldn't sell it.

How much did you pay? All they did to tighten it was to change the fluid?
