Default cooling trouble

hi guys can anyone help ive an 88rs turbo and ive tried a new pump thermostat and temp sensor and even gauge to no avail when running at 3000rpm the heater is hot and the gauge reads bang on the n ,the fan cuts in and it doesnt go into the red when you pull up the heater goes cold and within a minute the heater goes away to verycold please help ,ps ive also tried flushing the system different coolant strengths bleeding it.it has a hairline crack in block behind turbo but it not wot id say leaking just slightly damp any of you guys had something similar,

DOESNT SOUND GOOD IF YA BLOCKS CRACKED GET A NEW 1 BEFORE IT FUCKS UP ALL TOGEATHER

Yea, that can only be a bad thing! Sure it's not just a core plug thats leaking?

yer its the block and gonna try n get a new lump for it bloody rs turbos are they always this bad or does it get better?

yer ive bought a complete engine off ebay with 60k on it and the head just rebuilt for 200 as the guy is going to switch to zvh engine so ill keep you posted on how this runs later in the week cheers for the help guys

if its seaping,then its dropping its pressure,,it will also get worse as its no longer water tight,dont be a cock,get a new block!

finally got a motor off ebay for 200 quid n got round to fitting it its spot on now cheers

need new block mate thats ya problem comon fault on rs turbo got a nice engine for sale if ya intrested £150 live in the northeast
