Default Fast idle

Right, only started doing this recently. From a cold start my car starts first time, then maybe 45 secs to a minute later the revs drop slightly then shoot away up and idle at 2000rpm! Also my temp gauge has stopped working since this. I changed the cold start valve thinking it was this but its still the same. If i start my car and take it into the town, say Asda or something and turn it off and go in, when i come back out and restart the car it idles a little lower, say 1300 - 1500rpm which is obviously still to high! Any ideas

When did you have the car looked over by a tuner and setup to your currect spec?

You could have one of many problems from an air leak to incorrect mixture or faulty component. It is hard to say without checking.

get it on a CO% machine and see if it is setup right?

Just before this started oddly enough!

Would the CO mixture mean it would idle high? The strangest bit is if i stop the car after its been ran for ten mins and start it again it falls a bit lower

IMO go back and explain your problem, if the company who set it up are good they will check your setup has not changed and make sure you are in good running condition.

Like i said a prblem like this is hard to solve without checking for yourself.

Is all the sensors and plugs connected? Are any of them disconnected?

Taken off all four multiplugs and put brown to brown, yellow to yellow, black to black and blue to grey (the logical way)

Silly mechanics had them black to brown, blue to black, brown to grey and yellow to yellow! Think Stevie Wonder had a shot in the Ford Overalls

Seems to work now but will try again in morning to make sure
