Hi there

1800 is more powerful than 1600. Some say 1600 runs sweeter. ST170 is group 16 insurance, so yes it will be more expensive - it's also quite thirsty.

Try the TDCi 115 - Group 6 insurance (Zetec version), excellent mpg and the torque is superb!

cheers

They do a TDCi Sport now - 115bhp and has exactly the same spec as an ST170 (seats. fogs, wheels etc) except the engine . As an ST170 owner i reckon this would out pull my car between 50-80mph, and chipping these things see good results.

Heres fords info..

Sure you could get one cheaper than that though

Mate all the 1.6's we tested all came out 120bhp and the 1.8 are 115bhp so work that one out.

Both are very nice cars but there are a shed load of ex-hire cars and they are all 1.6 out there so be aware.

There are clubs for the focus for any details. I am trying not to promote my own one here...ops..

just google it with the keyword as Ford Focus
