ALRITE PEEPS IVE JUST PUT A REAR STRUT BRACE IN MY S2 RS TURBO AND HAD TO CUT THE CARPET SO I COULD BOLT THE BRACE TO THE STRUT BUT NOW IVE GOT A UNTIDY FINISH DOES ENY ONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I COULD DO TO COVER THE GAPS ROUND THE BRACE AS IT LOOKS A MESS CHEErs

 

Strip the whole lot out and then you dont have to worry.

 

ive got a rear strut brace to fit, did you drill and tap the wholes, or use self tappers?
also the ends of the strut bace are completely flat, how do i shape them to the turret?
can some one post a picture of there brace and details of how they fitted it.

i just drilled and put self tappers through i just offerd mine up and gently tapped it round the turret to fit the screws will pull it in even more

its a polished steel brace. got mine for about Ł50 off ebay but i think they sell them on there web site now two.

 

heres mine in the making, lengths of metal tubing cut and ground to fit the strut tops, then its gonna be welded in place



halfway made, needs one more diagonal brace making, before its ready to be welded in position.
