damage is as follows

while supporting engine and gearbox while refitting front crossmember, the beam accross the garage that was taking some weight snapped

bringing down plasterboard, a light fitting and the beam

fortunately the garage door (up and over) caught the beam, and some of the plasterboard, however, the striplight, the body still attatched to the beam, but the bulb escaped and landed in my engine bay - therefore i now have white powder everywhere and glass too

fortunately, no damage to the car apart from a couple of scratches on the wings, no biggie as its going for a repaint soon anyway, and also a chip out of my windscreen

i'll post pics tomorrow as i'm far too tired, got headache, body ache and heart ache from working on the car for 14 hours solid with only a 30 min break for tea

could of been worse indeed

having said that, the worst part of the job troday was the front propshaft - them 4 allenbolts are fuckers to remove and refit - that took an hour alone

what i thought was going to be a complete pig to do was align the input shaft on the gearbox so that it slides nicely into the crank spigot bearing - that went in first go and the box was bolted back on fully in 15 mins
