Nice MG Metro 6R4!!
Pristine condition,
-The car is factory build
-fiber panels are kevlar except back cover what is class fiber
-it has new 3.5 l DAM-engineering build engine
-ecu is MBE-programmable
-the driveline has big original differentials
-dog-box gears
-electrohydralic powersteering
-proflex adjustable suspension
-new big AP-racing brakes
-there are also some spares + wheels and tyres: slicks, rain, hevy rain, gravel and of course if needed ice.
in five years it has won over 30 tarmac sprint races and only "lost" three times (one time second and two times third)
-it has Finnish iceracing championship gold from years -97 , -01 and silver -98 , -02
The history of car goes somethin like this:
Pauli Silvennoinen used to participate with it to European championship rally race at first.
Then Saku Vierimaa / kari Kamarainen bought it from him and raced it.
Matti Santti who is current long time owner bought the car from Vierimaa.
The car is for sale because of a new project.
The total price is only 75 000 euros including all European taxes and fees.

Engine is V6, in the back.
That one obv aint road legal/registered, but most 6R4 rallycars are, as they have to be.
And the engine is the basicly the one used in the Jag XJ220, just without the turbos.
Apart from some, like Will Gallops old Hill Climb one, which is over 900bhp with a modded XJ220 lump
BTW i know where theres a XJ220 engine for sale if anyone fancies it

The Austin Metro was a horrible car, improving little in its looks through 20-odd years until its production, by then as the Rover 100, ceased in 1997. There was however a time when, bored with the daily grind, the devil himself visited the Austin works and went all Blue Peter on the little hatchback. He decided to eliminate the weight by making it all out of cereal packets and sticky backed plastic. Then he took out the weedy engine and dropped in a 410bhp V6 where the back seats should be. A bit of widening here and some aerodynamic accoutrements there and the 6R4 was born. A flared, snarling demon that the man downstairs is proud to call his own.
0-160 km/h(100 MPH) in 9 seconds!!!
0-100 km/h in 3.5 sec on all terrain!!!
You shoud fit some big turbo's and some rally slicks and you can kill all supercars!!

Jus for RS500....
This 6R4 was probably the most powerful 6R4 ever made and certainly the most successful. Its twin turbos produce approximately 750bhp at 2bar boost from its 2.4ltr engine. After winning the European Rallycross Championship two years on the trot, rule changes by the rallycross governing body forced Will Gollop to sell the car. It is now used in the Midlands Hill Climb Championship.
It was brought to POWERSTATION for a new Engine Management System as the original system was a derivative of the original 6R4 Lucas system. POWERSTATION fitted a modern MOTEC system which greatly improved the driveability of the engine. Full data logging facilities were also incorporated so detailed analysis of the run up the hill could be carried out.
Heres a pic of it in its original Rallycross colours, but its RED now its a hillclimber...

Some quality vids of the above car...

Top cars - but no room to put the shopping - or golf clubs
The windscreens are also original factory items
There were 3 of them out on the track day I went to (at Cadwell Park) on Saturday.
And Ł53k is cheap
Tony

These are just 2 of the ones that were at Cadwell last weekend
They are both owned by John (3rd from the left). He lent the yellow one out as a "prize drive" to Simon in the blue overalls
The white one came second & the yellow one came third on the event. Only beaten by an ex works Toyota Celica which was bloody quick when it passed us

Wasn't/Isn't the 6R4 the quickest production (homologation production) 0-60 accelerating car ever? Recorded a 2.45 0-60 in road trim?
It has the same 3.5litre V6 as the Jag XJ220 without the turbo's.... I thought the 6R4's were turbocharged? If not how could they make such ridiculous power and amazing performance stats?

The engine was then delevloped and turbod and became the XJ220 engine, which in turn found itself in 6R4s where the rules allowed.
And what ridiculous performance and power? 410bhp from 3.5litres is fuck all from a tuned n/a car...
