The top part of the roof vent is a scoop, and the internal part has the two directional vents, so I suppose there's no reason you couldn't fit the roof vent top part.

Phil if you need me to pick one up Dave's only round the corner
IMHO the proper ones are the ones with two seperate lift up flaps, but he dosn't do those. His are moulded from the type described above

what happens is , when its reallyhot ( most of the time in a rally car) you open your spring mounted roof vent - great - cool air - you hit a water splash - foooooookin great - wet paperwork

the WRC car has 2 roof vents...9096583....roof vents are actually installed to provide positive air in the cabin to keep dust etc out.....and provide some cooling (though you dont get a lot) especially with a helmet on....

Phil - it just depends on who prepped or built the car back then - and to what budget. Seen both types used.
Rad - just open your window

Right, I need to get hold of a pair of these, as everything's already in my roof for them, except that the flaps, and lever mechanism is missing.
Help anyone!

Rich I have posted on a rally forum yesterday as I don't have a clue who still does them either. As of this morning only links to the carbon pod type were posted
