Basically i have a 1.1 (stop laughing, it's a work hack) Fez - and having always had fast cars, it's killing me driving this asthamatic excuse for a car.

What are the 'usual routes' in terms of engine transplants for the Mk3 Fiestas?? I'm thinking it's going to be something Zetec - and TBH i know it can be done, but i don't really fancy the expense of a cossie lump etc.

I just want something that'd be a half decent sleeper -

Ideas of costs etc would be appreciated and also 'difficult bits' of any suggested conversion too

 

2.0 ltr zetec out of a mondy, things needed 1.6 zetec sump , oil pick up alternater bracket water pump dip sick and tube , 2.0ltr MAF sencer 2.0ltr ecu ( prefraly all out the same mondy ) modded engine mount, 1.6 or 1.8 zetec inlet manifold 1.6 zetec exhusat manifold 1.6 fiesta si wiring loom bigger brackes fuel tank from a fiesta si or rs1800 fuel lines fue filter then all gaskits for the sump inlet andoutlet manifold water pump , you need 2.0ltr injecters and fule rail 1.6 gear box ( not sure if 2.0 ltr fits ) 1.6 zetec cluch and flywheel think thast about it , hope that helps ?
