I notice he has his bint in the car, and I had come up behind someone in the middle lane, so moved over behind this elise.

He starts to pull away CANT HAVE THAT!

So I start to accelerate as well and keep with him, sometimes even having to back off slightly

He must have looked in his mirror, saw a 15 year old m4 escort and decided to show his new missus what his car can do!

Anyway, I dont look at the speedo, and after a while, he moved over into middle lane. I go past him and when I have I looked at the speedo.

Off the clock!

He NEVER looked over once, nor did he flash his lights, which makes it all the more fun that I beat him.

M3 Cabrio driver who pointed my sticker out to his bird on the bootlid laughing "Restricted to 218bhp Please Pass". Said M3 then proceeded to try and come past. Boy was he pissed when he didn't have the muscle to achieve it.

 

(in me old 400bhp saff) scooby rb5 rushes through traffic to get next to me in cheltenham town centre (one way system,two lanes) at the lights all i can hear is him revving like a twat,set off slowly and look over,18 or so year old lad,chav hat on,daddies car,with 15 year old girlie in tow. i hear his revs rise as he puts his foot down,he's obviously said he'll dust me as the little bint looks over and laughs,fair enough,so i let them get their arse end level with my front end..............................



















...............left foot flat to floor,ditto with the right,side step clutch,car goes ballistic fishtailing down the road,6 foot flames spitting from the rear,i go past him in a cloud of wheelspin and flames! next traffic lights i look over,i sewar the girls lower jaw was below the window line so i look over and say "nice car mate,sorry!"

Had so any its hard which one to choose but my favourite was :

I Had a 300bhp turbo nova last year and I was on my way down south,
I had a motorbike trying to get me to move out of the fast lane when doing about 90mph, So I dropped it into 4th turned the boost switch to number 5 and let it have it. I pulled away but he only chased for a bit so I moved over and let him past, he pulled alongside and gave the car a quick glance, then went to rip of into the distance, lol

Dropped it into 3rd and had a neck and neck race to 7200in 5th where I was slowly pulling away at about 6500 which is about 140mph.

I was laughing my head off when we slowed down, we slowed right down and he was trying to shout to my mate about something ( probably what the f**k have you got in that !)

Was a good laugh and quite scary too, but good to see what the car was really capable of, bike was a GSXR600 as when we slowed right down we could see the graphics,


Not told as well as your story but u get the picture !

Have to admit that whilst I've beaten a lot of stuff I have also been really susprised by a few as well.

1st memorable one was matt black Ford Transit. Fucking thing had a V8 in it from a TVR and by God did the bloody thing shift. Guy was really sound when we stopped at the services

2nd memorable one was Nova with a LET motor in it. Guy was claiming 300bhp and the way it went I can honestly say I beleive him.

Was in a mates old 350ish (guestimate - Big Nige's old car) 4x4 saff,
Asiandude in a newish 3rd shape Impreza pulls up, nods and waits for the lights to change,

so carries on as he lost intrest then further down the road he flies up my arse end, and i am doing about 70ish, takes it up to a ton ish and he is inches off the bumper so i has to brake, but lets off 1 of the biggest freak flames i have ever seen the car do,
The fooker stayed about 30ft behind after that

 

slapped a carrera 4s butt down the A5 between brownhills and cannock last week and i was 4up!!! too many other victorys to post

Another rip in the same car with a new out at the time Audi TT, I let him catch up and just kept pissing off then slowing down again to rub in the humiliation

A couple of Harley ridin' FAGS tried racing the same car from the lights and found out that I could get to the Blue Oyster Bar even quicker than they could

Excellent thread, shame that with a 1.6 escort i aint got too many. Best was on the stockcar track, First race of season, me at 17 and new in a 2.9 sierra, up against loads of stuff v8 capris, a mr2 etc, and this jerk turns up, Recons to have 20K in this impreza, as seen in my sig, started behind him caught and took him, was well impressed with myself! Since then hes got faster but hey you win some you lose some, thats the idea!

Down this long winding hill Pulsar's gone like a rocket, get to 80ish and I'm reeling it in ??? Little faster and I'm level, then past ? WTF

Park up, reckon's it's a 285 horse pulsar. Ask's me if it's a cossie lump, pop the bonnet and simply say "no m8"

one i remember was when i had my black s2 and lived in edinburgh bout 4 yrs ago, heading intowards town by the airport, came off the round about and an obvious race came flying round so i decided to join in. there was an escort cosworth, a fiesta turbo, lotus elise and a scooby all booting it off the roundabout into fast lane. i dropped a gear an put my foot down, i flew past the frst then swerved into left and undertook the elise and then the scooby, and tried to catch the cossie but just couldnt get near him. was well chuffed about the scooby and elise tho

1. took the car upto the stonley kitcar show for the weekend. coming home on the sunday down the m5 and no sooner had i got on the motorway then a bently gt goes past (had promised myself to do 70 all the way home) but i was fooked if i was passing this chance up was quite busy but now and then there was a open stretch of outside lane, so usual case of the first time im behind him and the traffic clears he nails it.....i waited a couple of seconds then did the same, didnt really look at the speedo but was flat in 4th till the shift light before i almost attached myself to his rear bumper
this went on for about 20 miles everytime he did the same thinking that mayby this time he would pull away anyway the best bit came when i just droped back into the middle lane for a bit as the traffic had picked up at roadworks, when a sl55 amg goes past and starts tail gating the bently (didnt even notice me sat in the middle lane ) so we hit the national speed limit signs and the traffic just seems to disapear, and they both gun it guy in the merc was so intent on getting past the bently that he didnt see me coming up the out side and nailing both of them at redline in 5th guys wife in the merc wouldnt stop laughing after when they caught up no doubt we looked rather strange anyway as me and my ex misses both had crash helmets on

2. was a 355 spider, 2 oldish guys in it. we kept messing about for a couple miles whereby we would overtake each other then pull back in ect, not really going that quick (80ish) anyway about the 10th time he came past me they slowed along side and when i looked over the passenger smiled and waved bye bye to me with a wink (hope he wernt coming on to me ) they then droped a cog and gave it full throttle i just let them go for a second or 2, my passenger told me the guys smile droped when they were doing about 130 and we shot past like they had the handbreak on with me just holding my finger out the side of the car at him

Raced a Porsche Cayenne turbo 3 times on the way driving home after buying my stage 1 3door cossie

1st race - I leave him 4 dust
2nd race - I leave him 4 dust
3rd race - kneck and kneck to 135mph when he slowly starts to edge away (bastid!)

once got my arse well and truly kicked when i had an E36 325i convertible. New shape corsa comes up my arse, i was doing about a ton with my foot flat on the floor. I move over, stil keeping my foot on the floor and he flies past me as though i was standing still!

get to the next set of lights and i lean out of the window

ME - "WTF's in that?!!!"

HIM - "2 litre turbo from a calibra turbo tuned to 300brake mate"

ME - "Oh!"

Had loads of races over the years, worst was racing an Orion turbo in me S2 down a country lane, over took him at just over the ton and then proceeded to hit a huge hump in the road. Barell rolled and end-over-ended, finished up in a garden about 300 yards down the road. One of my faves though was when I picked up my FRSt from Paul Ripley. The missus had driven me to pick it up so we dropped her car at home and she jumped in the passenger seat. It was only supposed to be a gentle trip round the block but we come up behind a young lad and his gf in his Lotus Elise. He clocked me behind him and booted it off a couple of times to see if i would take the bait. I just carried on normally behind him though. Any ways, we came up to a roundabout after which was a long straight road, I said to the gf "hes gonna put his foot down here you watch". Sure enough as we came off the roundabout he booted it big time so I did the same up through the gears. I wasnt at all used to the car as I had only just picked it up so when i hit third gear i was surprised as he was when I found myself alongside him. Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound so carried on ripping past him. Both driver and passenger jaws dropped as I totally caned them. What really cracked me up was when I got home I realised the 2-stage boost switch was on low!

 

pottering down the m55 towards blackpool last summer at about 90 in my stage 3 sapphire,moved over to let the boring silver merc pass me,only for him to look smugly at me and then i see its a c55 amg-ok then,mr merc lets see how fast you are!!he wasnt a happy man when he had to move over to let me past......


going to classic ford show this year in my 350 bhp 3 door,get passed by 2 ferrari's,one 53 plate,other 52 plate,clearly having fun passing everything-red mist again chasing them through the traffic,they both eventually bottled it and gave up.oh to spend so much money to be humbled by an old sierra!!!

My funniest one was against a scoob in my saff - anhialated as you would expect down the dual carraigeway, and then we came to a roundabout.

Needless to say, it took a while to catch him after that.

Otherwise, a 355 but I getting backing off to hear it come past again

 

not one of mine but made me laugh..my brother just got his lovely new r1 and thinkin he was valentino ..anyway came behind a ferrari maranello 575m at some lights before a slip road to the m56...they both pull on the sliproad and the guy in the rari dropped it and off he went..my bro said he really struggled to keep up and when the rari driver pulled into the middle lane my bro glanced over and the rari driver just smiled and gave him a wink

My bro since then has binned the r1 for something a bit better

 

Mine was probably when i finally got my tiger striped XR2 running properly, crusing past a speed camera at 50 or so i look to the right to see 4 'older' chavs in a brand new 645 BMW drop top kinda poiting and smiling at the car...i didnt take well to it
So after the camera i floor it undertaking them through 3rd, and 4th doing about 120 or so and see beemer in my side mirror about 3 car lengths behind. I pissed myself as they put the hazards on and pulled in behind me
Also recently going through a camera and a new Audi TT comes flying up braking at the last second, so i said to the missus 'ill eat him'. Sure enough he shot off first...and then i passed his car like it was standing still at about 120. The TT rocked as i went by said my missus. He tried to catch up for a little while, then followed me to traffic lights where i could see him in my mirror squiting to read the 'Turbo' written in my rear window in the dirt lol

 

i had fun on the way to central day this year...

i was headed towards cambridge on the dual carriageway going at a steady 80 when i see something red and sporty in the distance, i continue reeling the car in until i pass cambridge when i realise that its a lambo countach!! i wasnt too sure if it was real or a rep, so i cruise past him and pull into the slow lane... he decides to play and edges back past me... once again, i decided i'd edge back past him.

we approach another section of dual carriageway, i nail my saff, giving it everything its got! i look at the speedo.... 100, 120, 140, 150. i take a look in my mirror and he's still there!! i think to myself 'well, its definately real' and back off. respect is due to the lambo driver, he flashed his lights and gave the thumbs up, as did i. it was an awesome experience

i've also had fun in pushing an e30 m3 along, nothing like rubbing it in the 'old rivals' faces, is there?

was out in the cossie yesterday and on a duel carrage way and a brand new 911 carrera4 came from sliproad and was on trade plates, went to undertake me so i dropped into 3rd about 4000rpm and we both went for it, salesman egging the punter on!!!!!!

anyway i pulled away and changed into 4th with a massive crack off the ALS and i was gone so slowed down and they both came past open mouthed

wonder if he bought it??

so what sort of times 50-100mph do they do????

oh, and mines only on a T35 hybrid at the minute aswell

teach him a lesson matey,ive wipped a couple of these even when i was running stage1.if you dont take him on ill come all the way from sunny walsall and bank £1000 against his £500

 

brand new porsche carrera, was class as when i first gave it stick off the lights i bogged the launch and looked a cunt

then the next set i actually launched right and fook me did the car finally go, the porsche driver backed off as i got to 90ish though so not sue if he would have got it back and killed me, but the speed limit was 30 so i understand why he did ( was leading to a duel carridge way before the tree huggers cry)

all the other ones i had i ALWAYS had to back off and go on the power again for some reason as not many people like to travel fast, they just sped up and then go straight back to 70 again ( like XRT-Si always does )

 

As i was joining the M-Way a 911 Turbo newish one was cruising in the out side lane about 80ish i caught up and passed him only doing 90mph. He lets me get 3 cars infront of him then he changes down and flys back past me on inside lane. SO then i nail it after him!! WAs stuck to his bumper my car proper had little bit on him up to 150mph+ but nothing much! WAs awsome buzz racing a "super car" and the twys in there was a bit gutted i think that a 16 yr old serria was stuck on his new 80k cars bumper! lol

 

Had just finished my winter project. Like refitting my engine, brakes and shiny stuff. Booked it in for an MOT. Thought i'd give it a test run nice and steady to make sure things were working as they should.
Was on the Lincoln bypass stood in traffic. When i finally got to the roundabout in the left hand lane to go straight over, this guy in a ferrari 360 modena went round the roundabout in the right hand lane and cut me off big time. At this point i just thought what a tosser.
Next roundabout i was behind him and the twat cut someone else up. Loads of horn blowing and flagging.
Comes to the next roundabout and the tossers going my way.
The guys in and out of traffic and on coming cars flashing him.
Now i lost it. Saw a big gap in the traffic and floored the fucker. When i caught up to him in traffic, i tail gated the fooker. Both saw that there was a straight piece of road with no traffic and we both floored it. I passed the fooker at one ******* & 60mph got in front and flagged the twat.
So that was my test run before my MOT. First time it had been on the road for 8 months.

 

this is just the kind of thing i built this cossie powered cortina for

it's beat most things at some point 968 350z m3 but it been through the hedge a few times trying too hard.
sometimes geta bit naughty and potter along at 40 on the main road holding up the traffic if it's something i know is gonna try and blast by then when you see them indicate, drop it down a cog...

my best one wa prob the other day wen i took my series 2 out properly for the first time in my ownership. on the a12 a saxo comes alongside me his mates all bogging at my car, i let it come on boost but he has to drop a gear due to no turbo

all i can say is the race didnt last v long and the amount of smoke comin out his car after he dropped it down a gear certainly wasnt his mates smoking lol

Come on now, don't be silly.

I've got a mildly tuned MR2 Turbo and a Stage 3 saff, and my MR2 will keep up with a Stage 1 cossie no probs.

You can't just lump all MR2s in that category - there are a few in the UK pushing 550bhp+ and running 11 second quarters! They'll leave your saff so fast, you'd still be wondering what happened.
