I'll tell you something, the engine dont budge on the pro tec engine mounts either!
it did make it harder to get them all lined up, but now its solid.
probably wont be the most comfy of rides but not to worry.

now i need to get hold of a exhaust. what do u recomend?

2", 2 1/4", 2 1/2?
and where can i get such an exhaust. as i cant see many standard nova exhaust with a bore like that on it?
my janspeed that came off with the sr engine was definately not man enough for the xe.

anything 2"+ should be fine, a magnex or something like that

ask on migweb is best bet as i think you can now get them tht go straight on the XE manifold where as back when i was playing with novas it was a rarer conversion and had to be custom made all the time.

Dont bother with carbs, minimal increase in performance really and murders the economy.

Like the way you say "JUST THE" like its only a K&N on the standard 1.3 lump or something.

Think its one of the best conversions out there along side the RS Turbo into MK1 fiesta

What box you running?
Just asking as i just got rid of a 16V astra box.

I still have the radiator and fan if you want it FOC just pay the postage.

astra radiator is too big.

F28 is the best box IMHO, if only cause you will not break it, plus its kind of cool saying you have 6 gears!

but thanks anyway mate.

im gonna leave it looking a rusty old mess as well for now.
i cant wait to pull up and listen to people say look at that crappy old nova, i wouldnt be seen driving one of them.
and then dust them off the lights.

Mate of mine just removed an XE motor on carbs out of his nova ready for LET motor going in over the winter.

Was brilliant on carbs and pulled really well (bit of a cunt in the wet like).

Anyway good work mate!! Sleepers rock!

i think u need one for an sr as they go round the back near the bulkhead rather than straight over the top!
check on migweb before u buy it though!

I want a XE'd nova

How cheap can you pick these things up for? Tbh, I think I'd be happy with a 2 litre 8v.

What are these things like to insure?

Good to see! I want an XE nova too! My Astra is being an absolute nightmare in these cold months! Turbo os LOVING the cold air, front wheels are HATING trying to get traction! Torque steering in 5th and wheel spinning in 6th is scary!
